Global partnerships

“Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.”

John D. Rockefeller Jr

There are many ways to give and support our charity partners

Fundraise! A football or netball tournament, a sponsored triathlon team, a social event urging attendees to make a cash donation or a simple and easy bake sale. Involve colleagues and rally support from across the business. Read about the fundraising events and activities already taking place across the group and perhaps you can replicate their success to make a difference on a global scale.

Or simply donate. If you’re inspired by a colleague’s personal story or if you feel passionately about the causes our partners represent, please make a contribution. However big or small, every little helps. Find out more about our charity partners below. Thank you.

Join the Pipe

Join the Pipe is a Dutch founded company with a global mission – the dream of bringing clean drinking water to everyone, believed to be a basic human right. The starting point is replacing the consumption of bottled water with tap water and their two key objectives are a) fund raising for water projects in Third World countries and b) the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions related to the production of bottled water plastics and transport.

Through the fundraising we can contribute towards building new ‘water kiosks’ in areas that don’t have access to clean water readily. These cost €5,000 euros to build and install. Additional funds will provide refillable bottles which can be sold locally, the proceeds of which will help maintain the kiosks, keeping them sustainable for years to come. The effect it can have on a community can be life changing.

By bringing awareness to the environmental impact of the production and waste of bottled water, and providing sustainable alternatives, collectively we can help those in need and protect our oceans for future generations.

Habitat for Humanity

Endemol Shine for Humanity brings participants from Endemol Shine OpCos together to work as a team on a charity project.

Endemol Shine Group have partnered with global charity Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organisation that seeks to eliminate poverty, housing and homelessness from the world and make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action worldwide.

Founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, Habitat for Humanity has constructed or renovated and repaired more than one million homes helping more than six million people gain strength, stability and independence.

This organization builds homes for people in need in the poorest areas of the world. The actual building is done by the participants, together with the local people – future inhabitants of the homes.

In 2015 participants from the UK, USA, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, South Africa, India, Australia, Middle East, Israel, Poland, Portugal and Group helped build two homes in Bawana, New Delhi.

In November 2016 18 participants are travelling to Zambia to help construct safe and affordable housing for a community of orphans and caregivers whose lives are affected by HIV/AIDS.

Computer Aid

After 15 months and 14 fundraising activities organised by Endemol Shine teams around the world, we are proud to announce we’ve reached our £20,000 goal to fund a ZubaBox; a mobile, solar-powered internet hub made from a recycled shipping container that provides connectivity and access to new technology, even to the most isolated and remote communities around the world. To date, Computer Aid have deployed 12 ZubaBoxes across Africa and South America. Each unit has the capacity to support up to 12 PC work stations and in all cases they have proved to be an integral community resource.

Our ZubaBox will be making its way to Sierra Leone, Makeni in October 2017, complete with equipment provided by Comic Relief donations. This will be the first hub of this kind outside of the capital Freetown and will help over 1,000 young people in Makeni access entrepreneurship training using modern technology.

Computer Aid, a UK based charity which carries out work on a global scale by reconditioning unwanted IT equipment, assists many needy communities who do not have access to power supplies and other vital resources.
