About this project
February 2015. In partnership with global charity Habitat for Humanity, 17 Endemol Shine participants from 13 countries embarked on an adventure of a lifetime – to help build homes for needy people in Bawana – a poor area of New Delhi, India.
Habitat for Humanity builds homes for people in need in the poorest areas of the world. The actual building in Bawana was done by the Endemol Shine participants (from the UK, USA, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, South Africa, India, Australia, Middle East, Israel, Poland, Portugal and Group), together with local people – the future inhabitants of the homes. And so, Endemol Shine for Humanity was born.
In one week, the Endemol Shine for Humanity team built two homes, and provided a safe and decent shelter for families in need.

built in just seven days
There were many tears shed during the final days in India, an amazing thing when you think that this group, for the most part, were complete strangers several weeks before.
"The residents of Bawana endure shockingly improvised conditions, but their children still have innocence and laughter filling their days".
