About this project
Endemol Shine Giving aims to channel the Group’s creativity, connections and scale to make a difference to people’s lives through charitable projects, locally and globally. Meter TV is trying to take this to a new level by integrating our commercial partners in our charity programme.
For example, our commercial partners like Lidl, donate food that’s left after the season of MasterChef. Naturally, our sponsors are both aware of this activity and support it whole heartedly. Our first charity event, in conjunction with MasterChef, was sponsored by Lidl, Smeg, Diluca, Santa Maria, Bosch Siemens, etc. All the employees donated £20 and in return they could fill a basket of food. This is also in line of our Zero Waste environment implantation in the production. All other kitchen products were then sold off at reasonable prices.
By the end of this seasons MasterChef, we raised £6200. This money was then donated to The Zelmerlöw Björkman Foundation. We now want our employees to engage and feel that this is because of them so we will get a short movie showing exactly what our money achieved. This time it’s a classroom in a school in Kenya. This, I believe, will encourage our employees to even more participate and care about important and life changing projects.
